Your privacy

What we collect

• Your account, if you create one: name, email, mobile number, and a password we never see in plain text (it is stored only as a secure hash).
• Your orders, including guest orders: your name, email, mobile number, what you bought, the delivery address, and the payment reference. These are stored with the order and our shop staff can see them in our order system, so they can prepare and hand over your order. Card, UPI and bank details go straight to Razorpay, our payment provider; they never reach our website or our database.
• Enquiries: the name, number, email and message you send us.
• Security records: the IP address and browser of sign-ins and account changes, so we can spot and stop misuse.

Why we use it

Only to take and deliver your order, handle refunds or problems, reply to your enquiry, keep your account secure, and meet our tax and legal duties. A guest checkout does not create an account or saved address book. We do not sell your data, and we do not use guest checkout details for marketing or advertising.

We send you a small number of emails that are part of the service: a confirmation when you create an account, and an order confirmation with an invoice summary when you pay. The shop also receives an email about each new order, which does not include your address or phone number. These come from orders@elitefurnishers.in, and replies go to elitefurnishers@gmail.com.

Who else sees it

• Razorpay processes payments.
• Supabase hosts our database (Mumbai region) and Vercel hosts the website.
• Resend delivers the emails described above, so it handles your name, email address and the order details in them.
• Anyone delivering your order sees the name, number and address needed to deliver it.

Cookies and storage

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms against forgery. Your basket is kept in your own browser until you sign in. Visitor statistics are counted without tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires: under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, that is at least 72 months from the due date of the annual return for the year they relate to. Account details are kept while your account is open. Security records are kept to protect the shop and its customers and are never used for anything else.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or erase it, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows. You can delete your account yourself from your account page, by entering your password and typing DELETE, or ask us to do it. That removes your sign-in, profile, saved addresses, basket, sessions and two-step verification, and cancels any unpaid order. Paid order and invoice records are kept, no longer linked to a sign-in, because the law requires us to keep them for the period above. Email elitefurnishers@gmail.com or call +91 98101 07797. If something goes wrong

If your personal data is ever exposed, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires, and explain what happened and what we are doing about it.
